PRICING

Edge-to-edge quilting is $0.022 per square inch for quilts that are dropped off and picked up at my studio in Herriman, Utah.  Shipping is also available; please inquire for pricing.

To figure the cost of quilting your quilt, multiply the length in inches of your quilt top times the width in inches of your quilt top.  Multiply this number times $0.022.  For example, for a quilt top that measures 60 by 70 inches, 60 X 70 X 0.022=$92.40.

​

Longarm quilting is a taxable service.  You will be charged 7.25% Utah sales tax on the total for your quilt.

​

I do have a minimum charge of $45 because of the amount of time it takes to load a quilt on the longarm machine.

​

BACKING AND BATTING

Please make sure your quilt backing and batting are at least 4 inches larger than the quilt top on all sides, so a total of 8 inches longer in each dimension.  Measure your quilt top's length and width and add 8 inches to each dimension to determine the correct measurements of your backing and batting.  For example, if my quilt top is 60 by 70 inches, my quilt backing and batting should measure at least 68 by 78 inches.  This extra backing and batting length is necessary when loading a quilt onto a longarm machine.

I have 80/20 blend batting available for purchase for $0.30 per inch.

The quilt top and backing should be square so they can be pinned straight on the machine and give you a nice finished quilt.  Your piecing definitely doesn't have to be perfect, but a square quilt top and back are optimal.

Please note on your quilting request if your quilt top and back are directional.  If there is a specific top and bottom to your quilt top and backing, please pin a note designating the top of each to the quilt top and backing.

Embellishments such as ric-rac or buttons should be added to the quilt after longarm quilting is complete for best results.

EXTRA SERVICES

Upon request, I can piece your quilt backing for $15.

Trimming the finished quilt is $15.  Extra backing and batting will be returned to the customer.

Making and attaching machine stitched binding to the quilt is $0.25 per inch.  To determine the price, add length (in inches) + length + width + width and multiply times 0.25.  For example, for a 60- x 70-inch quilt, 60 + 60 + 70 + 70=260, and 260 X 0.25 is $65.

DROP-OFF

Please fill out the quilting request form before dropping off your quilt.  I will provide you with the correct address and set a time for drop-off.

PICK-UP

Once your quilt is complete, I will send you an invoice and set a pick-up time.  The balance must be paid in full before quilts are released to the customer.  I accept PayPal, Venmo, and cash. 

 

Customers agree not to hold Chateau Rainbow Quilts liable for any injuries sustained by themselves or members of their party while on the Service’s premises.

PET ALLERGIES

Our household includes 2 cats, who are not allowed in the quilting studio, but pet hair transference can happen.  If you have serious pet hair allergies, I may not be the right quilter for you.
